The finest decade none of us really got to experience (besides BigRed, and I'm sure he did!), disco came, and went. A classic disco hit Heart of Glass by Blonde was #1 for most of the year, great year for the city of Pittsburgh, winning both the SuperBowl and World Series. Willie Stargell of the Pittsburgh Pirates won the World Series MVP award in 1979. He also won the regular season MVP and NLCS MVP awards that year. He is the only player to have won the regular season league MVP, championship series MVP and World Series MVP awards in the same season. Terry Bradshaw and an amazing 10 other future Hall of Fame Steelers win the Super Bowl over the Cowboys. If your team has 11 HOF players on a your team, you win.

I'm going to be going 1979 throwback tomorrow moring. I love how the many of the MLB teams are doing these types of games, wearing throwbacks and doing the part. So, I'm rocking the old school Scrubs jersey, I got some surrup socks, and some really bad facial hair. It'll be something like sideburns and a pornstache. What took me two weeks to grow looks like Dougs 5 o'clock shadow,..it sad. I'll bring some cream and a razor if some of you get motivated. If your got some fuzz, have fun with it!!! Tell your wife to shut it if she breaks your balls.
