We need to run the table

Postby Sperminator7 » Sun Oct 24, 2010 5:22 pm

We MUST win the last 3 games, and get some serious help to get into the playoffs. Even with that, I'm not sure we'll get in this Fall. This past Saturday was a must win, and I didn't see any reason to believe we'd win that game. Matty throws a great game, ya, the homeruns but gives up only 5 hits and we lose!? That's not acceptable. We were flat, just like last week, didn't have any drive to win the game. We are a better team than that. Just 7 games ago we are playing for the 18A title! Whether we make it into the playoffs or not, I want to win these last 3 games. Remember, we are out there to have fun, we played great defense, 0 errors, great pitching, just didn't cross the plate. Let's keep our legacy going and not become a lower teir team. I'm not going to let that happen, who's on board with me!?!?!?

It's going to be really important here in the home stretch that we get Rob and Scooter out and (if necessary) kidnap Cole for a few innings. Matty can't keep throwing a complete game every weekend. All we're going to do is wreck his arm (and/or his head) by putting him in that spot. He was unselfish as hell this weekend to go the distance when we needed him, and he'll be paying for it all week and maybe beyond. We can go to Brandon C, but we'd have lost by a lot more runs without his superior play at short and we need to keep him there. When he's on, he's a one-man wrecking crew for the other guys' offense.
