4.0 DELI SCRUBS

Peter has been told that his leg is jacked up and that he needs to take the next 2-3 months off....(instead of making Peter a Non Runner each game and not giving it his all in the field...Peter has decided to take the summer season off...)

With that said...I needed to find a player to fill Peter's spot ASAP....Jesse got me in contact with Abel Garcia...I guess he played with the GS Reds back in the day....Jesse has assured me that he can play outfield (as good if not better then Peter)

Here is where I think everyone will fit in for the SCRUBS....

1st base: Jesse, Doug, Matty
2nd base: Gino
Short Stop: Mitch, Brent, Brandon
3rd: Derek, Jesse
Catcher: Matt, Scott
Pitcher: Matty, Anthony, Derek?, Jesse?
Left Field: Abel, Mitch, Brent, Brandon
Center: Dan
Right Field: Abel, Mitch, Brent, Brandon

Peter has told me that he will attend most if not all games....he is going to be the assistant manager under the greatest manager SD Scrubs has ever seen...I will put Peter down as a substitute player each game....if by chance a player gets hurt or needs to leave early...Peter will fill in....

Peter has also assured me that he will work with each runner giving signs....from his new position "3rd base coach"...

We all wish Peter a speedy recovery and a healthy return....our wishes and prayers are with Peter and his family....ha ha

Hitting is suspect, but will do the little things, bunting, running the bases, hitting the cutoff man, etc.

Not a terrible addition, will be a reliable consistant asset in the outfield. Hitting is a little suspect, but is willing to take walks. Pretty solid baserunner, when and if he gets on. I think Single A ball will be a good fit for his hitting skills.

Thank God! We finally can get that cocky asshole off our team. He has brought our team down since day one, and will not be missed! He is also fugly and I feel bad for anyone in his gene pool!

As long as Peter is there for post-game ass slaps/grabs I am cool with a new addition. Sorry to hear about your leg Peter and we will miss your bat in the lineup. Jesse, Skotty informed me yesterday about a possible uniform change along with a name change. You have my blessing since I contribute very little to the team financially. Actually I contribute nothing. Gino had the idea to name us the "Scrubs" in the beginning. Love the name but am willing to part with it with the addition of some new unis. Have any ideas? Skotty mentioned yellow and I am totally against that but since I look good in any color I am open to any other color in the rainbow. Maybe even rainbow colored jerseys and we could be the 4.0 Deli Pole Smokers? Just a thought.

Once again Peter I am sorry about your leg and hope and pray for a speedy recovery..

Don't worry retribution will be taken and fellow Scrubs will be brought down in the line-up for rude and inappropriate comments....

I like the 4.0 deliGSScrubs or 4.0 Deli padres with throw back jerseys, or 4.0 deli aztecs, or the 4.0 deli wearebulitfortheregularseasononlyscrewplayoffs.

Since you're introducing new players to the team, who are Mitch and Anthony? I've never heard of them.

Some other points, Brent and I can both play anywhere in the infield, not just shortstop, and also, will Peter let us, people who may be playing the outfield now, borrow his glove? It'd be nice the have a bit more reach on fly balls.

Oh, and one more thing, Gino showed some good skills in right field last season; don't count him out of roaming around out there too in Peter's absence.

That's right, it is both an honor and a priveledge to work under Scott and in doing so will help me learn the real fundamentals of the game. I will be giving signs from 3rd they are going to be as follows so listen up because I won't be repeating this.
1) If I say "get back" this means to get back to the base because the pitcher is trying to pick you off.
2) If I say "nobody" this means to get a bigger lead because they are not holding you on.
3) If I say "hit & run" this means that I want the base runner to start running when the pitch is thrown and the batter to try and hit the ball.
4) If I say "steal 2nd" this means to run from 1st base to 2nd base when the pitcher throws home.
5) If I say "bunt" I want the batter to try and bunt the ball.(Don't worry about learning this one because I will never use it)
5) If you are on your way to 3rd and I am waving my hand around saying "go home" this means to keep running to home base, not leave the field get in your car and head back to your house.
6) If I am holding my hand out and yelling "hold up" or "Scott stay here, there is no fucking way your fat ass will make it" this means to stay at 3rd.

I know that these are confusing but we all need to learn them or else we will always just be a second rate team. Also if you see me scratching at my balls please don't confuse this for a sign, I just have really itchy balls.

Also there is no way that Abel is as good if not better than me in the outfield, it's just not possible.

Peter, I really think if you don't play softball for 3 weeks and chill, bag of pea's, taken it easy your leg will be fine. Besides, once you're out there with us you'll get the itch big time and will play hurt or not. See you in 4 weeks!

Abel isn't a better outfielder either, he's a cool guy, he knows the game, will play hard, and is a good guy in the dugout. Also has the most fucking tattoos I've ever seen,..some are naked chicks! I saw Abel layout at 1st base once on a bunt attempt that he was out by 5 feet. I'll take that guy.

Name change? We could be called the Balogna Pony Riders, it doesn't really matter. I guys the name can be what ever any cares it to be.

Uniforms? I'm down for classic black, but if we are getting supplied uniforms? Again, doesn't really matter. But no yellow Scott, WTF dude?

And this isn't a rebuilding season, it's what we make of it. Remember, to win, perseverance must outweigh than the struggle.
