Lets face it, he's a hitting machine and is a positive influence on all of us in the dugout. Sporting a .613 avg, 7hr, 23 rbi marks are far and away the best on the team. Dude needs to really take a look at maybe hitting under .500 once so us "mortals" can go to bed with our wives without having to explain why we arent as good as him.
Cy Young: Matt Wagner
It's hard to make a good argument for a guy with a 6+ era that wears a watch, but I think that in this case it's justified. He's been our horse this whole year and has proven to be a big game pitcher against some of the better teams in our league. with 37.2 innings pitched and a 4-0 record, his stats don't lie. We all know that if Matty can keep us close, we can score the runs to beat most teams.
Gold Glove : Dan Herman
I dont know how many times a ball is hit to centerfield and I think "Oh shit", but more often than not Dan tracks them down with ease. It's a good feeling to know we have a Centerfielder that makes the other team frusterated, not to mention his trash talk from the outfield might rub them the wrong way too.
Most Improved: Doug Sitter
Going from .276 batting avg in the spring to .486 in the summer should be enough for this award....But wait there's more! Doug Tripled his RBI total going from 4 to 12! Just look at every offensive category and you will see that he has nearly doubled his production this summer and is one of the most valuable hitters we have on the team. Good work!
Rookie of the Year: Anthony Graziano
This guy has been a welcome addition to our team. He pitches well, hits well, and is a great guy to have in the dugout. With a .364 average and a .500 OBP he is a definate asset to our lineup. Has made some really key contributions with his stellar pitching as well.
Just some of my thoughts while I'm bored at home not getting pussy
