Very excited about how our games have been going, and I am not just emphasizing our wins!
Our defense has been looking smooth and confident. Gino had some nice hard hit ground balls yesterday, and he stayed down, charged them, and was successful every time. Fundamentals boys--doing the small stuff wins games!
However, this way we have been playing--free and easy--is going to have to change when we play better teams. As the standings reflect, the formerly undefeated Hillcats have dropped 3 games in a row, while we have won 3, but the Rock Church, who over powered us a bit with their pitching, remain undefeated. I want to destroy the Rock Church next time we play them! But, to do that, with their pitching, we might have to shorten up our swings, sacrifice, bunt, hit-n-run, and move runners over and get runners in. Adaptation fellas!
We're looking good with saving Rob's arm, but Scott, we may need to give Matty's arm a break these next few games so we have him fresh for the future.
So, with a few of our players feeling some soreness in their elbows, shoulders, legs, and back, lets not forget to ice, heat, soak, and stretch. Take a hot bath. Stretch randomly twice this next week, or lift some small weight and eradicate some of that arm soreness without any strain. Have a good week gentlemen!
