Spring 2011

Postby Scotty 2 Hotty » Wed Nov 17, 2010 6:54 pm

3/12/11: There is still $65 in the Scrubs fund... Sean played today and paid $15.... Scrubs fund has $80 in it...
I am going to hold on to this fund and use it as a team gift for Doug H. (if you have a problem with this please let me know)

Roster:

Derek Ayres: $160 PAID
Matty Wagner: $160 PAID
Rob Leichtag: $160 (Need to Collect)
Brent Collins: $160 (Need to Collect)
Brandon Culbertson: $160 PAID
Gino Salvaggio: $160 PAID
Peter Salvaggio: $160 PAID
Matt Martin: $160 PAID gave me check for $200 gave him $40 back
Dan Herman: $160 PAID
Jesse Cottrell: PAID
Doug Sitter: $160 PAID
Scott Viavada: $160 PAID
Derek Clay: $160 PAID

The Scrubs Spring roster will be 13 players (as stated in the contract)…

18A (Saturday)

All calculations are based upon a 10 game season if all remains the same as last season…(THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE PLAYOFFS)

League fee’s: $1250

Umpire fee’s for 10 games: $800 (10 games x $80= $800)

Baseballs needed for the season: 30 balls.....the league will provide us with 18 balls and I will purchase another case of 12 balls for $40 bucks....this does not include playoffs.....

$1,250 (fee) + $800 (umps) + $40 (balls) = $2090

13 players / $2090= $161 per player needed to collect...This is the true cost with a roster of 13 players....

Now here is the real breakdown....

I collected $160 from each player....if you take $160 x 13 players you get = $2080 (this is the amount that I collected from each player), the real cost to play baseball is $2090.

I had $75 left over from last season. I am going to use the $75 to offset the cost. Taking the $75 down to $65. The left over $65 will be split with the paying players last year.

Please refer to the 4.0 Deli Scrubs contract if you have any questions about the lineup, roster, etc... it should all be addressed.

Please let me know if you have any questions

Poor baby. I know you feel used. Have you considered a vibrator with a Sears Diehard battery?

If everyone is cool with it, I am going to put the $75 ump fee towards next season dues (forfeit with the natives). If you are hard up for the $6 bucks you can drive to my house and get it.

In reply to the questions asked about next season:

(1) I want to play...

(2) About the roster, I don't really care about the number of people who are on our roster. However, I do care that we have a core number of guys show up to every game. Consistency is important, especially for pitchers. We need consistent pitchers that will be there every game. Also, last season, you all must remember (I certainly do), we only had 8 or 9 guys at the first game. I really hope this will never happen again. We got smoked because we had players in different positions, and no pitching. I really hope for a great start to our next season!! When we get things going, we always play exceptionally well.

We need to get together to throw the ball around this weekend. I will be done for the year in the first game if I don't throw some long toss soon.

SDABL has changed the umpire fee from $75 to $80

This was stated by email yesterday... I am going to update the fee's to reflect this change. Everything was calculated off of $75 not the $80.

There is still $75 left over from last season I will use this to pay the extra cost. Please look over my calculations and please let me know if you have any questions. See the 1st post for update calculations....
