This is from Mark Grace

On the definition of a "slumpbuster", after being pressed by host Jim Rome in a now-infamous 2003 interview on the television show "Rome is Burning" to clarify the baseball slang term...
"A slumpbuster is when you have to take one for the team. It's finding the biggest, nastiest, fattest broad, and you put the wood to her to come out of your slump. Also known as 'jumping on a grenade for the team'."

The Scrubs need you to hit!!

Ha! 1st Try to explain to the wife that the team needs you, if that doesn't work then maybe you should look at some nasty thing on your own internet time. Don't bring the whole team morale down by making us look at some beast because you haven't liked how you've been performing. You have this backward you're suppose to take one for the team, we (team) is not suppose to take on for you. So put on your bomb suit and look for grenades..... on the internet? :D

You have no idea how much porn I have to look through every week just to find the Hottie. I spend hours, and hours, and hours, usually late at night, working feverishly to bring you guys something good. But hey, if that's what it takes, I'm all in and I will find a "nottie" that's really nasty just in case the slump doesn't end soon! I think I'm going to be sick .... Jack on the rocks, please ....

What this would bother you? You're such a nit-picker and not being a very supportive wife :D

Matt has two dreams in his life to hit .500 in a season, and to run with his elbows in. We all know the elbows in thing is a lost cause. Let him chase his other dream!!! :D

I might be a nit-picky, non-supportive wife, but I am also a 4 & 1/2 months pregnant lady that can throw over hand  And pretty well too!

If you have a decent breaking ball and an earned run average under 3, we'll get you a uniform. One with an expandable midsection to deal with that pregnancy business if necessary.

Doc - what did the "League of Their Own" women (the real-life ones back during WWII) do for slump busting? (This must all be part of a History of Baseball class you took at Cal..?)

In life, you will cross many obsticles, some are daily speedbumbs, perhaps a hurdle or two, and of course the Grand Canyon gap. But having four so-so games doesn't define the player and going 3-3 the next game doesn't mean your 'out of it' either, contrary to what we ALL think. Baseball is a slow, drawn out saga,.play the cards your delt, it could be a 7-2 (0-4, 3K's, and a double play), or poket rockets (4-4, HR, 2B, 5RBI). Enjoy those rocket days, you never know when it will strike. One of the best parts about baseball, and we ALL have had one! Good Times.

My soccer team (I know, gay, you use your feet and run around) won tonight for the 26 straight game. We are the best, we run a league, win it and move to the next. We win because we are good, but more importantly confident that we can't be beat. The few times we are down at half time, we look each other in the face and talk out what the fuck we are doing wrong. It's a total team effort, no soft spots, no prisioners, just winning. I've seen this from the Scrubs many times, we don't take shit from nobody. Trust me, teams know who we are, they know we can drop runs when we aren't pussyfooting around out there.

As many of you know, I was not a great baseball player growing up. Yes, I did hit like 10HRs when I was 7 in caps. Derek and I with our Jacks Tractor team ran the show. (Ha, I remember Marcus Giles hitting bombs and he was like 3 feet tall at the time...) Yes, I made some All-Star teams in Majors, Pony, mostly cause I could run and field. What I was always good at was the running part, and that is what I did in high school instead of playing baseball. Why was I good, cause I was confident that I was the fastest one there. As a sprinter, you have to be a cocky dickhead, no talking, no friends, just show them the finish line. But you know what, I am well respected in the track and field community for being a hard beat, and nobody ever wanted to see "That fast white boy" rolling into a meet. And that is what I know the Scrubs have. We owe it to ourselves to finish games, step on throats. DO WORK!
IF YOU AREN'T DOING WORK, GRAB A SHOVEL SON!!!

Matt, I don't know which "cure" you used, but it worked. 3 for 4, two doubles and a single. Whatever slumpbuster you did, do it some more!
