LA tournament: Jan. 15-17 (MLK weekend)

Postby four » Sun Nov 28, 2010 2:32 pm

I've been talking to Jimmy about a possible joinder between Scrubs and Reds for an offseason tournament. This tournament is still in its preliminary discussion stage, but in my few conversations with Jimmy, he and I believe we could put together a pretty good team.

So, I'm sending this message out to you all to see, who is interested? Jimmy figures his pitching will be used (that means his catchers will be used as well), and most of our hitting and defense. Our teams will mix defensively and in the line-up, as this weekend tournament will be full of double-headers. If we put together a team of 13-18 guys the price will vary, beginning roughly around $106 per player. This is a WOOD BAT tournament, so factor in the cost of supplying your own wood (insert joke here), too.

Check out the NABA website (dugout.org) for more information about the California Classic tournament in LA before getting to me.

Hello all, we our looking for a calibration to win the CA KICKOFF CLASSIC. Its a 3 day event in Ontario CA Jan 15 to 17th of January and we could be looking at 4 to 5 games in 3 days. We our looking to carry 14 to 15 guys and it would be Reds and Scrubs. The total is $1495 dollars per team and we can get a $100 credit to reduce the cost to $1395 dollars if at least 8 of us our registered with SDABL. We wont be the Reds or the Scrubs in this event, we will be the 4.0 Deli. We would like to take everyone but were shooting for 14 to 15 guys and looking at 6 to 7 pitchers. Its a wood bat tournament and we would be playing in the 18A division. You can go to the NABA.COM website and it gives more details about this.

If you have any interest please email me at ecreds7@yahoo.com we would split the fee's up by the amount of players and and we can get hotel rooms to split while we our there. There might be some night games as well and from people who played in this event last year they said it was great and well organized. We would be getting a jersey made up for the event. Happy late turkey day to all of you and if your interested email me and looking forward to kicking some butt. Jimmy THE FLY
