4.0 DELI SCRUBS

My goal for the season is to go from leading the team in K's to not getting one for the entire season....

Looking at previous stats...Derek in the Fall of 2008 had 35 plate appearances with not 1 single K....

In the running for this season is

Matty with 6 plate apperances
Jessie with 10
Matt with 10
Sean with 3
Scott with 8

I know that i should concentrate on singles...but its better then not striking out ....

You just screwed yourself by posting that. You will now strike out 2 or more times this week. Way to screw your self over. The baseball God's will strike you down, you never say stuff like that. I hope you are knocking on some wood right now. I'm glad your goals for the year are so high. If I were you my goal would be to hit over the Viavada line .200 or over. I would rather you hit .250 and strike out 20 times, than .110 and strike out 5 times. I see greatness in you, you just have to let it fly. Worring about not striking out every at bat over hitting the ball hard is not productive.FYI, A k is better than a double play or fielders choice with a stronger runner on base in front of you.

G is right Scott. You just screwed your self. What the fuck, man! Gino hit-it-on-the-head, focus on hitting the ball hard somewhere. Contact is much more important than worrying about striking out.

Besides, if you're lacking the confidence to hit the ball, then maybe bunt. Pitchers bunt because they still want to move runners. Move runners.

You have been improving a lot. Look at the RBI's you have had in the past 2 seasons. Your average last season I think was better than mine!! SWING AWAY!!

I'm like the Tony Gywnn of the Scrubs. Fat singles hitter that doesn't strikeout. I kinda wish I did strikeout more often, because running out infield choppers fucking sucks!! I made it through all of last season without a K until that last Asian dude that threw some bullshit yellow slant ball at my kness that was clearly an illegal pitch. In Arizona that guy wouldnt have been pitching anyways.

And T. Gwynn made a pretty fucking good career out of doing just that (and got his over-sized ass into the Hall of Fame). Get on base however you can (hit the ball, let the ball hit you, take four shitty pitches) because nothing more offensively can happen until you do that part. Other than scoring or driving in a run or pitching a W, the single most important thing you can do in baseball. Keep hackin', big guy!

Screw the K's title for the summer season....I am gunning for the stolen base tittle now....
