Leave it to the rookie to ask this question...but with the holiday weekend coming up is the SDABL going to schedule us a game?

Not a rookie question. SDABL is really tuned in to the guys who have been doing this for 20 years ... they already know what the deal is. The rest of us don't and they leave it to our cleverness to find out.

I talked to Jim Healey, one of the commissioners, tonight. He's in the Saturday league, which has already finisihed up the season. But he says the entire league is shut down this weekend. I don't know whether that is right, we're in a Sunday league and we never see our game schedule before Wednesday. So we don't equate "no schedule" with "no game." I'm a little pissed that they couldn't just put a f**king note on their website that says "NO GAMES THIS SUNDAY. PERIOD". Not a lot of typing and it would have saved a bunch of the 200 teams in the league some guessing. When I take over SDABL, things will change for the better!!!

I will call Mike Micheli (the SDABL president) on Tuesday and get the straight scoop. Keep an eye on the Scrubs home page, I'll post it there when I get a definitive answer. My guess is, no games.

Yea it seems to me that they don't have the organizational effiency to make this league offer the full value it should. I've tried to send some information over to this league in terms of what technolgy they use to operate and manage their data, but no response. My company Active Sports hosts data for some of the largest sports organizations in the country: Dixie Youth Baseball and Little League.com to name a few. Everybody has there price Doug I know they would sell the league for the right price. Over the span of 5 years this league could be a goldmine if it was to improve its operations and league offerings.

No game this weekend, just confirmed with SDABL. It really would have been good of them to mention that instead of leaving up to us to guess or call them. Info is posted on the website home page and I have sent a mass e-mail to all registered users of the Bulletin Board.
